When does it make sense to work with a 3PL provider?

A 3PL provider (third-party logistics) makes sense when orders can no longer be shipped on time, when there's no staff for assembly and kitting, or when storage capacity reaches its limits. A reliable shipping partner is also crucial for young companies that want to focus on growth. Media Impuls has provided tailored fulfillment from Berlin for mid-sized clients since 2005.

How quickly can I get started with fulfillment from Berlin?

The onboarding period depends on your product range and volume. As a rule, shipping can begin 5 to 10 days after the first goods delivery at the Berlin location. An individual assessment is made in a personal conversation with the Media Impuls team.

What information is needed for a fulfillment quote?

For a precise quote, the following key data is relevant: the type and number of products, average basket size, special packaging requirements, a B2B or B2C business model, target markets and preferred shipping methods, as well as any need for assembly/kitting and returns handling. Media Impuls clarifies these points personally in the initial conversation.

How much does fulfillment cost for my online shop?

There are no flat rates in fulfillment, since storage and shipping depend heavily on product range, volume and shipping destinations. Media Impuls prepares a non-binding, individual quote for every prospect that transparently breaks down service fees, storage costs per pallet space and shipping costs.

Does a Berlin-based 3PL also ship internationally?

Yes. Media Impuls ships worldwide. For international shipments, all available shipping methods are supported – from standard parcels to express delivery. Customs clearance for shipments outside the EU is also handled from the Berlin location.

How does returns management work with a 3PL?

Returns are processed within three business days of arrival at the Berlin location. The team registers the return, inspects the items superficially (without a functional check) and puts the goods back into stock. Damaged returns are disposed of on request. Returns costs are billed plus the carrier's fees.
